Dr Rachel Andrew
Consultant Clinical Psychologist
Dr Rachel Andrew has worked in Clinical Psychology for over twenty one years. She began her career by studying Psychology (BA Hons) at The University of Newcastle upon Tyne. She later studied at the University of Northumbria at Newcastle for a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2003 at the University of Teesside.
Dr Rachel has previously worked in the NHS with forensic psychology teams, youth offending teams, and child and adolescent mental health teams. She has assessed and supported adults and young people across in-patient, secure and community settings. Her approaches draw on several psychological models.
Dr Rachel has completed post-doctoral training in cognitive, behavioural, solution focussed, narrative, EMDR and systemic approaches.
In 2004 Dr Rachel Andrew appeared on-screen in Series 1 of the groundbreaking anger management series ‘Don’t Make Me Angry’. For the past 20 years she has provided psychological support on and off screen for the TV and film industry.
Dr Rachel is also the author of The Supermum Myth. This book aims to help new parents who are experiencing feelings of guilt, anxiety and failure using a variety of psychological techniques.
Away from psychology, Dr Rachel loves going to the theatre, building her fitness and is always looking to improve her swimming.
Dr Jacqueline Gorman
Associate Clinical Psychologist
Dr Jackie Gorman gained her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2003 from the University of Lancaster. She has worked as a clinical psychologist within the NHS and with private and charitable organisations. She now works entirely on an independent basis. She also works as an associate clinical tutor for the Lancaster Clinical Psychology Doctoral Programme.
Dr Jackie works therapeutically with children, adults and families and provides consultation to staff teams as well as supervision to psychology and non-psychology colleagues. As an expert witness she completes psychological assessments of children and adults, providing psychological opinion for family courts.
Therapeutically, Dr Jackie adopts an integrative approach drawing upon a range of psychological models including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She has a strong interest in Strengths Based and Systemic approaches.
Dr Jackie is trained in EMDR and also has considerable experience in the assessment and diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition in adults.
Dr Jackie also has experience working with television production companies, across channels and genres.
Away from psychology Dr Jackie loves walking in the hills and lifting weights. She is currently trying to learn to love running.
Dr Elizabeth Hazelwood
Associate Clinical Psychologist
Dr Elizabeth Hazelwood has worked in Clinical Psychology for fourteen years. She studied her Psychology Degree (BSc Hons) at Bangor University before completing her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2010 at Lancaster University.
Alongside working with Time Psychology, Dr Elizabeth also works in the NHS in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. She currently assesses and supports children, young people and adults in both in- patient and community settings. She also works with others involved in an individual’s care, such as parents, carers and other professionals. Her highly skilled approach draws on several psychological models.
Dr Elizabeth has completed post-doctoral training in behavioural, cognitive, parenting, solution-focussed, and narrative approaches.
Dr Elizabeth also has experience working with television production companies, across channels and genres.
Away from psychology, Dr Elizabeth enjoys cooking and spending time with family and friends.
