In 2016, research conducted on behalf of Maxi-Cosi as part of Road Safety Week, revealed significant improvements in adults’ driving safety after having a child.

Of 1,000 parents surveyed, most admitted to significant improvements in their driving with a baby on board:

  • A third* (36%) followed safety precautions more closely
  •  Almost half* (45%) paid more attention to other vehicles
  • 34%* were more aware of road signs

Dr Rachel Andrew worked with Maxi Cosi and PR firm Shiny Red to develop the original research and test out those findings in the field. She then helped analyse and communicate these results as part of Maxi Cosi’s social media campaign #drivelikeaparent
